I love Luke 10:20

However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

It tells me that like not putting our trust in money, but in Him who has richly provided, we shoudl also put our rejoicing not in the obstacles we conquer but in the fact that we have done it through Christ.

I notice in this narrative things we would call change....cultural change, change in plans, etc. Like first it was Jesus, then 3 more, then 12, then 72...and it all happened so fast. And one of our main fears or objections is often change.

My good good wife pointed out the other day that sometimes what we call "change" is simply a decision or progress. And there have to be decisions and progress in order to move forward.
