It never ceases to amaze me how kind Jesus is; what a great Teacher!

He lays everything out quite plain; even though sometimes He answers a question with a statement that's hard to understand (I'm thinking of His conversation with Nicodemus), here He's being straightforward because He lives for the Kingdom of God, and He wants to let everyone know that they too, can have eternal life.

One of the things He says that I love is in verse 29: "I tell you the truth." In other translations it reads "Truly, truly, I say to you." That serves as a wonderful reminder that not only is Jesus intelligent (because He is the mind of God) but that he is completely trustworthy, because He always tells the truth.

Imagining following Jesus around and watching Him interact with person after person wears me out! But, He was mainly talking to the disciples in this passage....telling them all they needed to know to be fully devoted followers of Him. It is so simple.....but not easy.
After small group last night and reading all the blogs about the message Sunday, I will have to make time to go online to hear it. It's so cool that even if we are serving during the service, we can easily get to lifechurch.tv to get led and fed.
