When a ship comes by, it might be yours to get on. To get on you have to get of the land- step off and go aboard with your whole being. Sometimes God brings along the boat; sometimes HE says "Go get on that boat". It will be with family or money or our gift or the needy or our attitude. Stuff Jesus talked about.

There is always fear involved. Thats why HE tells us to not be afraid.

Someone told me long ago that the Bible says, "Do not fear," 366 times....one for each day with another thrown in for leap year. I have not personally counted, but I always notice when God tells me, in His Scripture, "Don't worry."
"The pain of discipline weighs ounces, the pain of regret weighs tons." I heard this quote recently and it has stuck. There is so much wonderful God evidence around me each day that I don't want to end up regretting that I spent time fearing and worrying instead of worshipping and believing and being grateful.
Like Dave pointed out from Ps 103, we are here to honor God with our lives.....I'm not an honor to God when I am fearful about whether He will care and provide for me and my family.
"Do not fear" is what I am taking into this day, Dec. 18.
