And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Notice the question: "Right now Jesus are you going to get this Jewish thing going and fulfill OUR idea of YOUR kingdom?" This is the same question that often comes out of our prayers etc. "When are my expectations going to be met.....right now?" Jesus' answer is clear - "I set the timeline and its not your kingdom- as a matter of fact, you are going to be the message carriers to ALL people- not just you Jews." It must have either blown their minds or gone right over their heads. How often do we think "I want my church this way for me and I want it now."
