		<description>When it says in verse 2 that these disciples in Ephesus said "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.", I wonder if we have people around in churches today like that. People who know the LORD and have accepted this awesome forgiveness, but for all practical purposes have not even heard there is a Holy Spirit.
Call it being a functional atheist.</description>

		<description>I'm interested in the people who heard Paul teach for three months and then "refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way."  It doesn't say that they just couldn't get it or that they weren't "chosen" or that they missed the important talks or that Paul got impatient with them and left too soon.  Scripture says that they refused to believe.  That sounds like a personal choice to me.  A costly one.  Lord, keep my heart open to hear Your Truth.  And teach me to walk in your authority, not my own power.</description>
