Jr High Intern at Grace
A new ministry is forming at Grace under the leadership of Anne Mikalik and she is looking for interns. Can you help on this search?
Junior High Intern Opportunity at Grace Community, 2007-2008
Do you have boundless energy? Are you a people magnet with a contagious passion for reaching out and sharing the love of God? Do young people actually think you’re kinda cool? If so, you may be just the person we’re looking for.
Grace Community is a cool innovative church focused on helping people experience a forgiven relationship with God and to passionately extend the grace of God to others.
If the thought of working with and helping lead a group of students grades 6-8 makes you think “bring it on” rather than “bring me some tylenol,” read on for more of the specifics:
The basics…
· You are a Christ follower and you are excited about helping students to find Christ
· You like the idea of being in a progressive church that is a part of the LifeChurch.tv network
· You are able to own the idea of helping key kids grow and take some leadership
In this role you will be…
· Helping build a new Jr High ministry under the leadership of a skilled team lead
· Helping to lead a purpose-driven, relational model of youth ministry
· Networking to kids, their parents, and their friends
· Helping put together a weekly small group, special events, and retreats
Lastly, to do this, you must be totally cool with jumping headfirst into a fastpaced and developing ministry environment. If this sounds like your cup of tea, give us a shout and tell us why you’re the right person for the job.
Please send your resume to Anne Mikalik at annerh2@hotmail.com or call 217-493-0769

Someone should mention (so I will), that Anne has had extensive training in Jr. High ministry. While she was in nursing school, she lived with a couple whose husband was the youth minister at a church in Danville. He was ruthless in his training…..even made Anne wait to finish a full-day training before welcoming Zac back from basic training.
Cort instilled in Anne a love for middle schoolers as well as providing her with skill in ministry to them.

Hey Grace Community…can you circulate this to anyone you know who has contact with people who might be interested in this?
This is a key ministry for us to develop.

Think about it…pray about it for a moment. Is there a college student or a more mature HS student or anyone who has a healthy walk with Christ and just MIGHT have some interest?
Anne wants to sit down and share this ministry opp with several people soon and you can help by giving her a referral and introduction.
This is a simple but key way you can be a part of the development of this important new ministry at Grace.
