Sunday's service made me realize I can't let my school work prevent me from seeing my family. Studying for my medical licensing exam and defending my dissertation are important, but they can wait for a long weekend. I have to drive the 9 hours to see my family this Labor Day weekend. My niece and nephew are growing fast and think their auntie Cindy is the lady that visits once a year and sends them kids magazines. I have to take them on a pony ride, give them hugs and encouragement, share time with my Mom and sister and brother and encourage them too. ;-) Prioritizing and time management can be hard for me, but I've found if I stop and pray and listen to the leadings of the holy spirit, I know what I need to do. Last Sunday's service helped me to do that. Thanks, God!

My sister-in-laws mother was faced with this situation a few years ago when she found out that she had a brain tumor. She did not have much time left after her diagnosis before she died, but she lived every day so that when she died just a few weeks later, she had no regrets. An AMAZING story of faith! And what a legacy she left for her four children and several grandchildren!
Look forward to hearing this series!
