Grace Community Church ('Grace' for short) is a church designed to serve both Christians and those who might consider themselves spiritual seekers. It's a safe place for people who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions, and simply want to check out Christianity without anyone pressuring them. It's also a place where those who have decided to follow Jesus Christ can learn and be encouraged in their spiritual growth.

What Makes Grace So Different?
Anonymity - You can relax when you visit Grace knowing that no one is going to single you out, put a visitor sticker on you or otherwise embarrass you. This is truly a safe place to find answers at your own pace.

Casual Atmosphere - You can come to this church dressed casually. Grab a cup of coffee or tea before the service. We work hard to provide an environment where you can just relax and enjoy the service.

Contemporary Music - No hymnals, choir, or organ! Instead we have a band with upbeat, contemporary music. You'll probably hear songs you can relate to.

Practical Messages - Every message is designed to address real, everyday issues we all face. Things like parenting, family issues, or financial tensions. You'll find that the use of video and drama help the experience come alive.

You won't be asked for money - We're more interested in genuinely helping you in your spiritual journey than in your money. We routinely encourage guests to keep their wallet in their pocket.

A safe atmosphere for your children - Your kids will enjoy Grace. For infants through 10 year olds, there are age specific classes. The curriculum is designed to be both fun and educational for your children.

Come check us out - It's hard to imagine a church that's really different without experiencing it yourself. For many of our guests, just one visit has been the start of a fun and profitable journey for them.

Our Background
Grace Community Church was started in 1979 as an outreach to university students. In 1997 Grace moved and whole heartedly changed its focus at reaching the Champaign-Urbana community as a whole.
